Reisdetails van Pelgrimage
Omschrijving:
Sinds een paar jaar koester ik de wens om te voet naar Santiago de Compostella (SdC) te gaan. Om precies te zijn ligt mijn einddoel zelfs 100 km voorbij SdC: de Cabo Finisterre. Deze plaats werd, ver vóór onze jaartelling, reeds door de oude Kelten beschouwd als het einde van de wereld; de meest westelijke plaats vanwaar men de zon nog kon aanbidden alvorens die onder te zien gaan in het dodenrijk.
Aan het begin van de negende eeuw struikelde een of andere sukkel in Galicië toevallig over wat menselijke botten. Na enige Rooms-Katholiek pathologisch onderzoek bleek dat de gevonden resten werden herkend als afkomstig van de apostel Jacobus, een van de discipelen van Jezus. De Hemel zij dank! Kwam dat even goed uit, want die stoute Mohammedanen waren in die tijd toch lelijk in de meerderheid op het Iberisch schiereiland. Héél het Iberisch Schiereiland? Nee, een klein Christelijk gebied bleef moedig weerstand bieden aan de overweldigers en maakte het leven van die vervelende Moorkoppen in de omgeving bepaald niet gemakkelijk, maar dat is een heel ander verhaal… In ieder geval werd op het vermeende graf van Jacobus een kapel gebouwd, die weer veel later werd vervangen door een kathedraal. Juist ja, die in Santiago de Compostella. Het vermeende graf van Jacobus is dus het eindpunt van de Christelijke pelgrimstocht die, tot op heden, jaarlijks door honderdduizenden gelovigen, sportievelingen, avonturiers of anders denkenden wordt afgelegd.
Als je, zoals ik, je woonplaats als vertrekpunt neemt, ben je daar toch wel een paar maanden zoet mee. Nu ik onlangs met functioneel leeftijdsontslag ben gegaan, en tijd genoeg heb om deze voettocht te gaan maken, moet het er dit jaar van gaan komen. Mijn geplande vertrekdatum is maandag 25 juni 2012. Afhankelijk van de factoren conditie, weer en terrein zal ik vermoedelijk vier maanden nodig hebben om circa 2600 km te overbruggen. Via deze site hoop ik met enige regelmaat jullie op de hoogte te houden van mijn vorderingen in voorbereiding en uitvoering. Schroom niet om jullie reacties aan de site toe te voegen. Ik zal ze graag lezen. Reken echter niet op response van mijn kant. Vaak zal ik fysiek of technisch niet in de gelegenheid zijn persoonlijk contact te onderhouden waarvoor bij voorbaat mijn excuses. Veel leesplezier en als jullie goede tips of suggesties hebben lees ik die graag.

Reisdetails van Pelgrimage
Omschrijving:
Sinds een paar jaar koester ik de wens om te voet naar Santiago de Compostella (SdC) te gaan. Om precies te zijn ligt mijn einddoel zelfs 100 km voorbij SdC: de Cabo Finisterre. Deze plaats werd, ver vóór onze jaartelling, reeds door de oude Kelten beschouwd als het einde van de wereld; de meest westelijke plaats vanwaar men de zon nog kon aanbidden alvorens die onder te zien gaan in het dodenrijk.
Aan het begin van de negende eeuw struikelde een of andere sukkel in Galicië toevallig over wat menselijke botten. Na enige Rooms-Katholiek pathologisch onderzoek bleek dat de gevonden resten werden herkend als afkomstig van de apostel Jacobus, een van de discipelen van Jezus. De Hemel zij dank! Kwam dat even goed uit, want die stoute Mohammedanen waren in die tijd toch lelijk in de meerderheid op het Iberisch schiereiland. Héél het Iberisch Schiereiland? Nee, een klein Christelijk gebied bleef moedig weerstand bieden aan de overweldigers en maakte het leven van die vervelende Moorkoppen in de omgeving bepaald niet gemakkelijk, maar dat is een heel ander verhaal… In ieder geval werd op het vermeende graf van Jacobus een kapel gebouwd, die weer veel later werd vervangen door een kathedraal. Juist ja, die in Santiago de Compostella. Het vermeende graf van Jacobus is dus het eindpunt van de Christelijke pelgrimstocht die, tot op heden, jaarlijks door honderdduizenden gelovigen, sportievelingen, avonturiers of anders denkenden wordt afgelegd.
Als je, zoals ik, je woonplaats als vertrekpunt neemt, ben je daar toch wel een paar maanden zoet mee. Nu ik onlangs met functioneel leeftijdsontslag ben gegaan, en tijd genoeg heb om deze voettocht te gaan maken, moet het er dit jaar van gaan komen. Mijn geplande vertrekdatum is maandag 25 juni 2012. Afhankelijk van de factoren conditie, weer en terrein zal ik vermoedelijk vier maanden nodig hebben om circa 2600 km te overbruggen. Via deze site hoop ik met enige regelmaat jullie op de hoogte te houden van mijn vorderingen in voorbereiding en uitvoering. Schroom niet om jullie reacties aan de site toe te voegen. Ik zal ze graag lezen. Reken echter niet op response van mijn kant. Vaak zal ik fysiek of technisch niet in de gelegenheid zijn persoonlijk contact te onderhouden waarvoor bij voorbaat mijn excuses. Reisdetails van Pelgrimage
Omschrijving:
Sinds een paar jaar koester ik de wens om te voet naar Santiago de Compostella (SdC) te gaan. Om precies te zijn ligt mijn einddoel zelfs 100 km voorbij SdC: de Cabo Finisterre. Deze plaats werd, ver vóór onze jaartelling, reeds door de oude Kelten beschouwd als het einde van de wereld; de meest westelijke plaats vanwaar men de zon nog kon aanbidden alvorens die onder te zien gaan in het dodenrijk.
Aan het begin van de negende eeuw struikelde een of andere sukkel in Galicië toevallig over wat menselijke botten. Na enige Rooms-Katholiek pathologisch onderzoek bleek dat de gevonden resten werden herkend als afkomstig van de apostel Jacobus, een van de discipelen van Jezus. De Hemel zij dank! Kwam dat even goed uit, want die stoute Mohammedanen waren in die tijd toch lelijk in de meerderheid op het Iberisch schiereiland. Héél het Iberisch Schiereiland? Nee, een klein Christelijk gebied bleef moedig weerstand bieden aan de overweldigers en maakte het leven van die vervelende Moorkoppen in de omgeving bepaald niet gemakkelijk, maar dat is een heel ander verhaal… In ieder geval werd op het vermeende graf van Jacobus een kapel gebouwd, die weer veel later werd vervangen door een kathedraal. Juist ja, die in Santiago de Compostella. Het vermeende graf van Jacobus is dus het eindpunt van de Christelijke pelgrimstocht die, tot op heden, jaarlijks door honderdduizenden gelovigen, sportievelingen, avonturiers of anders denkenden wordt afgelegd.
Als je, zoals ik, je woonplaats als vertrekpunt neemt, ben je daar toch wel een paar maanden zoet mee. Nu ik onlangs met functioneel leeftijdsontslag ben gegaan, en tijd genoeg heb om deze voettocht te gaan maken, moet het er dit jaar van gaan komen. Mijn geplande vertrekdatum is maandag 25 juni 2012. Afhankelijk van de factoren conditie, weer en terrein zal ik vermoedelijk vier maanden nodig hebben om circa 2600 km te overbruggen. Via deze site hoop ik met enige regelmaat jullie op de hoogte te houden van mijn vorderingen in voorbereiding en uitvoering. Schroom niet om jullie reacties aan de site toe te voegen. Ik zal ze graag lezen. Reken echter niet op response van mijn kant. Vaak zal ik fysiek of technisch niet in de gelegenheid zijn persoonlijk contact te onderhouden waarvoor bij voorbaat mijn excuses. Reisdetails van Pelgrimage
Omschrijving:
Sinds een paar jaar koester ik de wens om te voet naar Santiago de Compostella (SdC) te gaan. Om precies te zijn ligt mijn einddoel zelfs 100 km voorbij SdC: de Cabo Finisterre. Deze plaats werd, ver vóór onze jaartelling, reeds door de oude Kelten beschouwd als het einde van de wereld; de meest westelijke plaats vanwaar men de zon nog kon aanbidden alvorens die onder te zien gaan in het dodenrijk.
Aan het begin van de negende eeuw struikelde een of andere sukkel in Galicië toevallig over wat menselijke botten. Na enige Rooms-Katholiek pathologisch onderzoek bleek dat de gevonden resten werden herkend als afkomstig van de apostel Jacobus, een van de discipelen van Jezus. De Hemel zij dank! Kwam dat even goed uit, want die stoute Mohammedanen waren in die tijd toch lelijk in de meerderheid op het Iberisch schiereiland. Héél het Iberisch Schiereiland? Nee, een klein Christelijk gebied bleef moedig weerstand bieden aan de overweldigers en maakte het leven van die vervelende Moorkoppen in de omgeving bepaald niet gemakkelijk, maar dat is een heel ander verhaal… In ieder geval werd op het vermeende graf van Jacobus een kapel gebouwd, die weer veel later werd vervangen door een kathedraal. Juist ja, die in Santiago de Compostella. Het vermeende graf van Jacobus is dus het eindpunt van de Christelijke pelgrimstocht die, tot op heden, jaarlijks door honderdduizenden gelovigen, sportievelingen, avonturiers of anders denkenden wordt afgelegd.
Als je, zoals ik, je woonplaats als vertrekpunt neemt, ben je daar toch wel een paar maanden zoet mee. Nu ik onlangs met functioneel leeftijdsontslag ben gegaan, en tijd genoeg heb om deze voettocht te gaan maken, moet het er dit jaar van gaan komen. Mijn geplande vertrekdatum is maandag 25 juni 2012. Afhankelijk van de factoren conditie, weer en terrein zal ik vermoedelijk vier maanden nodig hebben om circa 2600 km te overbruggen. Via deze site hoop ik met enige regelmaat jullie op de hoogte te houden van mijn vorderingen in voorbereiding en uitvoering. Schroom niet om jullie reacties aan de site toe te voegen. Ik zal ze graag lezen. Reken echter niet op response van mijn kant. Vaak zal ik fysiek of technisch niet in de gelegenheid zijn persoonlijk contact te onderhouden waarvoor bij voorbaat mijn excuses. [description] => Sinds een paar jaar koester ik de wens om te voet naar Santiago de Compostella (SdC) te gaan. Om precies te zijn ligt mijn einddoel zelfs 100 km
voorbij SdC: de Cabo Finisterre. Deze plaats werd, ver vóór onze jaartelling, reeds door de oude Kelten beschouwd als het einde van de wereld; de meest westelijke plaats vanwaar men de zon nog kon aanbidden alvorens die onder te zien gaan in het dodenrijk.
Aan het begin van de negende eeuw struikelde een of andere sukkel in Galicië toevallig over wat menselijke botten. Na enige Rooms-Katholiek pathologisch onderzoek bleek dat de gevonden resten werden herkend als afkomstig van de apostel Jacobus, een van de discipelen van Jezus. De Hemel zij dank! Kwam dat even goed uit, want die stoute Mohammedanen waren in die tijd toch lelijk in de meerderheid op het Iberisch schiereiland. Héél het Iberisch Schiereiland? Nee, een klein Christelijk gebied bleef moedig weerstand bieden aan de overweldigers en maakte het leven van die vervelende Moorkoppen in de omgeving bepaald niet gemakkelijk, maar dat is een heel ander verhaal… In ieder geval werd op het vermeende graf van Jacobus een kapel gebouwd, die weer veel later werd vervangen door een kathedraal. Juist ja, die in Santiago de Compostella. Het vermeende graf van Jacobus is dus het eindpunt van de Christelijke pelgrimstocht die, tot op heden, jaarlijks door honderdduizenden gelovigen, sportievelingen, avonturiers of anders denkenden wordt afgelegd.
Als je, zoals ik, je woonplaats als vertrekpunt neemt, ben je daar toch wel een paar maanden zoet mee. Nu ik onlangs met functioneel leeftijdsontslag ben gegaan, en tijd genoeg heb om deze voettocht te gaan maken, moet het er dit jaar van gaan komen. Mijn geplande vertrekdatum is maandag 25 juni 2012. Afhankelijk van de factoren conditie, weer en terrein zal ik vermoedelijk vier maanden nodig hebben om circa 2600 km te overbruggen. Via deze site hoop ik met enige regelmaat jullie op de hoogte te houden van mijn vorderingen in voorbereiding en uitvoering. Schroom niet om jullie reacties aan de site toe te voegen. Ik zal ze graag lezen. Reken echter niet op response van mijn kant. Vaak zal ik fysiek of technisch niet in de gelegenheid zijn persoonlijk contact te onderhouden waarvoor bij voorbaat mijn excuses.
